RUBIA® is a natural dye extracted from roots and rhizomes of Rubia cordifolia, it is a mordant category of dye in natural dyes. It gives red, pink and orange colour and changes with the change of pretreatment auxiliary in the process of dyeing.
Rubia has antimicrobial, astringent and anti bacterial properties these add on as the additional features of textile dye treated with Rubia.
Plant Rubia tinctorum equipped with colour giving property that gives madder a quality for making natural textile dyes. Though, extract of the root plant Rubia tictorum does not contain red colour but it acquires alizarin that fabricates red colour.
